Air Force Band of the Golden West Ceremonial Marching Band

CEREMONIAL MARCHING BAND

The Ceremonial/Marching Band participates in military ceremonies, military and civilian parades, and patriotic openings for the general public. It’s stirring renditions of military and novelty music as well as traditional marches complements its impressive precision marching style. The band lists among its many appearances patriotic game openings for the San Francisco Giants and twice leading the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade – an honor accorded them and viewed worldwide by millions in January 2000, ushering in the new millenium, and in January 1997, marking the beginning of the United States Air Force’s 50th anniversary year.

The size of this unit varies according to the particular event’s parameters and needs. The band is under the command of Captain R. Michael Mench and the NCOIC and Drum Major is Master Sergeant Anthony Seres.
