Hurricane Maria Travis airlifts generator to assist Hurricane Maria relief efforts
Airmen in the 43d Air Mobility Squadron Aerial Port assisted an aircrew from 22nd Airlift Squadron at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., in loading a 45,000-pound Federal Aviation Administration power generator bound for Puerto Rico on a C-5M Super Galaxy on Green Ramp here at Pope Army Airfield Sept. 27. Airmen in the 43d AMS also received and palletized water and meals which were delivered to Puerto Rico along with the generator.

Beeliners bring humanitarian aid to St. Croix BEEliners bring humanitarian aid to St. Croix
As U.S. Army and Marine Corps helicopters delivered humanitarian aid throughout St. Croix, a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III from Travis AFB, California, landed Sept. 23, at the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport, bringing humanitarian aid to residents affected by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The C-17 crew assigned to the 21st Airlift Squadron, also known as BEEliners, received the St. Croix humanitarian aid tasking after completing another humanitarian relief mission to Mexico City.

Default Air Force Logo Seeking help does not end military career
Throughout September, the nation is observing Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Since 2012, the estimated rate of death by suicide across the Department of Defense has remained about the same per 100,000 people – 20 for active duty members, 24 for reservists and 27 for guard members. The Air Force rate also is estimated at 20 per 100,000 members, according to the DOD Suicide Event Report.
