Command Chief takes final flight

A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III carrying Chief Master Sgt. Steve Nichols, 60th Air Mobility Wing command chief, on his final flight, makes a final approach, Sept. 5, 2018, at Travis Air Force Base, Calif. The flight, which is a military tradition, served as an opportunity for the Travis community to honor Nichols and wish him well before his retirement. Nichols has served as the command chief for the largest air mobility wing in the Air Force since July 2016. He will retire Friday after 25 years of military service.
