Upcoming Events
Here are some special announcements and upcoming events:
  • The Travis AFB Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) will hold its next meeting on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at 7 p.m. at the Northern Solano County Association of Realtors office, located at 3690 Hillborn Road in Fairfield, California. If you would like more information or need special accommodations for the RAB meeting, please contact Mr. Mark Smith, (707) 424-3062.
  • On August 15, 2012, Travis AFB will hold a public meeting to describe its proposed cleanup remedies for 19 contaminated groundwater sites and to give interested community members the opportunity to provide their comments on these potential actions.  Prior to this public meeting, the base will issue a Proposed Plan that will provide detailed summaries of these proposed remedies and offer several ways for the public to give comments to the base.  Public participation is encouraged and will help Travis AFB to pick the best solutions to its environmental challenges.

Travis Air Force Base hosts a rich eco-system. There is an ongoing environmental cleanup program here to reduce the risk of chemical exposure, and protect human health and the environment. This program is called the Environmental Restoration Program (ERP).
