COLONEL MATTHEW A. LEARD

Col. Matthew A. Leard, is the commander, 60th Air Mobility Wing, Travis Air Force Base, California. As commander, he coordinates and supports the combined efforts of all operations and support activities associated with the worldwide air mobility mission. The C-5, KC-10, and C-17 assigned aircraft participate in air, land and aerial refueling taskings, responding to Joint Chiefs of Staff-directed combat operations and supporting U.S. State Department-sponsored humanitarian relief efforts worldwide. 60TH AIR MOBILITY WING VICE COMMANDER


COLONEL THERESA E. WEEMS

Colonel Weems is the acting vice commander, 60th Air Mobility Wing, Travis Air Force Base, California. As commander, she is directly responsible for the daily operations of the largest Air Mobility Wing in the Air Force. With $10 billion in assets, the group is tasked with operating 18 C-5, 13 C-17, and 27 KC-10 aircraft on worldwide air-land and air-refueling missions. In addition, Colonel Weems directs all mission support activities, to include an operations support squadron providing air traffic control, weather, intelligence, flight management support, aircrew flight equipment, and KC-10 initial qualification and upgrade training. Continue reading...

CHIEF MASTER SGT. STEVE A. NICHOLS

Chief Master Sgt. Steve A. Nichols is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 60th Air Mobility Wing, Travis Air Force Base, California. He is the primary advisor to the commander on matters concerning the morale, welfare, health and discipline of more than 5,100 enlisted men and women. The wing is responsible for conducting operations and support activities associated with the worldwide air mobility mission. The wing's assigned aircraft include the C-5, KC-10 and C-17.
