Band of the Golden West opens Air Mobility Rodeo 2011 ceremony
JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. --
Members of the U. S. Air Force Band of the Golden West performs July 24, 2011 at the opening ceremonies for the Air Mobility Rodeo 2011 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
"For us it's so special to get a chance to play for our Airmen and international partners," said Capt. Haley Armstrong, Band of the Golden West commander. "We get a chance to represent the strength and professionalism of today's Air Force to large range of people."
The Band of the Golden West, which performed at the opening ceremonies, also has a small travelling rock group "Mobility" at the closing ceremonies as well as several locations in the local community throughout the week.
