60th APS competes at AMC-level
Senior Airman Elvin Cortes secures a pallet before transport at the 60th Aerial Port Squadron. The 60th APS is competing for the Air Mobility Command Large Terminal Unit of the Year. Using LEAN initiatives and techniques, the squadron has combined traffic management with cargo operations, which allows them to move cargo more efficiently.

21st Airlift Squadron loadmaster saves lives, aircraft
Tech. Sgt, Corey Clewley, 21st Airlift Squadron loadmaster, checks equipment on a C-17 prior to takeoff. While performing a special mission in Southwest Asia, he helped suppress a brake fire onboard a Romanian C-130, saving the lives of the C-130 crew and preventing the total loss of the aircraft.
