60th Force Support Squadron serves Airmen

The vision for the 60th Force Support Squadron at Travis Air Force Base is to provide the global model for excellence in force support.

Their mission is to ensure mission readiness for Team Travis through quality programs and services such as Airman and family services, community services, force development, installation readiness, manpower and personnel programs and sustainment services.

The Airman and Family Services Flight is responsible for the Airman and Family Readiness Center, child development centers, family child care programs and youth activities. Three child development centers provide more than 211,000 child care hours a month. There are currently 18 certified family child care providers. The youth activities section are responsible for the youth center and the teen zone.

The Community Services Flight is responsible for the aero club, aquatic center, arts and crafts center, bowling center, cypress lakes golf course, equestrian center, family camping, marina and outdoor recreation.

The Force Development Flight is responsible for the Airman Leadership School, education and training center, Mitchell Memorial Library and professional development.

The Manpower and Personnel Flight is responsible for the civilian personnel, manpower and organization, military personnel and NAF human resources.

The Sustainment Services Flight is responsible for collocated Delta Breeze Club, fitness center and sports, food services, Knucklebuster Café and lodging.

Additionally, 60th FSS has marketing, honor guard, installation readiness, liaison with the commissary and AAFES, mortuary affairs and resource management.

The squadron has a total of 734 squadron personnel, 624 are civilians, all supporting the Air Force's largest air mobility base with 41 activities in 71 buildings.

The 60th Force Support Squadron is the largest squadron at Travis Air Force Base and the largest Force Support Squadron in the Air Mobility Command.
