U.S. Air Force retired Brig. Gen. Larry Wright flew C-7A Caribou aircraft in Vietnam in 1969 to 1970. This photograph is from Jan. 1, 1967 and was used for airlifting supplies to forward outposts in Vietnam. With a maximum payload of three tons, the C-7A can take off and clear a 50-foot obstacle in about 1,200 feet.
