Colonel Brandon R. Shroyer is the commander of the 60th Air Mobility Wing, Travis Air Force Base, California. As commander, he is responsible for the combined efforts of all wing operations and support activities associated with the worldwide air mobility mission. The C-5M Super Galaxy, C-17 Globemaster Ill and KC-46 Pegasus aircraft assigned to Travis AFB participate in airlift and aerial refueling taskings, responding to Joint Chiefs of Staff-directed combat operations and supporting U.S. State Department-sponsored humanitarian relief efforts worldwide. He is also responsible for ensuring the readiness and well-being of more than 12,800 active duty, reserve, civilian personnel, and their families.
Born and raised in San Diego, Calif., Col. Shroyer entered the Air Force in 2004, "Ready for War", as a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. He has completed multiple combat tours in operations over the Horn of Africa, Iraq and as the commander of the 774th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, Bagram AB, Afghanistan. He has served in a multitude of operational and staff capacities at the squadron, group, wing, Headquarters Air Force and Combatant Command levels culminating as the Chief of the Space and Integrated Air and Missile Defense Division (J36) at Headquarters, U.S. lndo-Pacific Command. He is a command pilot with over 4,040 flight hours and more than 1280 combat and combat support hours in the C- 17A, C-130J and KC-135R.
