Col John “Mark” Klohr is the Commander at the 60th Mission Support Group, Travis AFB, California. He leads more than 1,900 members across six squadrons delivering the installation’s mission support group missions to include civil engineering, communications, contracting, personnel, security forces and logistics readiness. His team supports a base community of 135,000 and oversees an annual budget of 100 million dollars and resources exceeding five billion dollars.
Col Klohr, originally from Charlotte, North Carolina enlisted into the Air Force in 1993 and earned a commission through Officer Training School in 2001. He is a Logistics Readiness Officer with experience in aircraft maintenance and has served assignments in multiple MAJCOMs, to include two squadron commands, deputy group command, a forward deployed Air Operations Center, and Air Staff. Prior to his current position, the Colonel was the Chief, Logistics Readiness Division, AFMC A4/10, Wirght-Patterson AFB, OH.
Col Klohr has deployed in support of a variety of operations to include VIGILANT WARRIOR, SOUTHERN WATCH, IRAQI FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, INHERENT RESOLVE, and SPARTAN SHIELD.
