Honoring Veterans

At exactly 12:30 p.m., Nov. 11, 2016, a C-17 Globemaster III from Travis Air Force Base, Calif., flies over downtown Fairfield, Calif., marking the start of the city’s Veterans Day Parade. A color guard formation from the TAFB Honor Guard led the Travis portion of the parade, followed by the U. S. Air Force Band of the Golden West Marching Band, a formation of Airmen and the grand marshal, Col. John Klein Jr., 60th Air Mobility Wing commander joined by his wife and daughter. Travis Airmen march in Veterans Day Parade

60th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs

More than 100 Airmen from Travis Air Force Base, California, many representing the 60th Mission Support Group marched in the annual Veterans Day Parade in Faifield, California in support of Veterans Day.

The parade included over 70 entries including the U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West and Col. John Klein Jr., 60th Air Mobility Wing commander who served as the parades' grand marshal.

More than 1,000 people lined the streets of downtown Fairfield to show their support, many waving American flags.
