UPDATE: Body found at Travis Golf Course identified

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – The deceased male body found at Cypress Lakes Golf Course in Vacaville, California on Jan. 5, 2017 has been identified as Jerald Fleshman, 62.

 

Fleshman was found in a lake near the 17th hole of the golf course. He is believed to have been golfing alone and foul play is not suspected in his death.

 

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Fleshman family at this difficult time,” said Col. John Klein Jr., 60th Air Mobility Wing commander.

 

The golf course is operated by the 60th Force Support Squadron at Travis Air Force Base and base emergency personnel responded to the incident. The Solano County Sherriff’s Office also responded to the scene and took jurisdiction over the investigation. The cause of death is unknown at this time.
