The Auto Hobby Shop at Travis will offer its customers an exceptional offer beginning February 13. When customers purchase an oil change, they will receive a coupon for a free oil change which will have a one-year expiration date.

In a financial climate where people are cutting costs, the employees at Auto Hobby are excited about the opportunity to help customers save money. Auto Hobby specializes in diagnostic work, preventative auto maintenance, car service and repair. They can handle everything from a simple oil change to minor maintenance repairs and a vehicle manufacturer's recommended service.

"We also have available auto stations that allow customers to work on their own vehicles", said John Gray, 60th Force Support Squadron Auto Hobby Shop manager. "AirĀ  Mobility Command recently instituted a funding initiative that allowed many base programs the opportunity to create unique promotions for its customers. The buy one get one is a direct result of the available funding."

The promotion was created to be easy for customers to utilize. They simply make an appointment to have their car serviced for an oil change. Tire rotations can be exchanged for oil changes. After the service is completed and payment has been made, customers will receive a coupon for their free oil change. Each coupon has a value of $40.

Oil change services at Auto Hobby include up to five quarts of oil, new filter, lube chassis and tire-pressure check. Also included with an oil change is an 18-point safety inspection and topping of washer and power steering fluid. Large diesel-engine vehicles are excluded from this offer.

The Auto Hobby Shop is located in building 226. Hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. John or any of the Auto Hobby staff can be reached at 424-5300.

The promotion is limited to the first 60 customers.

"We want to offer everyone this opportunity but quantities are limited, so you may want to make your appointment immediately," Gray said.
