Air Force Week Proclamation to be signed at Capitol Published Aug. 18, 2009 By 60th Air Mobility Wing Office of Public Affairs TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The Air Force Week Proclamation ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. at the California State Capitol building's West steps. Those in attendance will include the Secretary of the Air Force, the Honorable Michael B. Donley, the Commander of Air Mobility Command, Gen. Arthur Lichte, California Lt. Gov. John Garamendi and Maj. Gen. William Wadell, the Adjutant General, California National Guard. The event will feature a flyover by two C-17 Globemaster IIIs and KC-10 Extenders and performances by the Air Force Band of the Golden West and the Air Force Drill Team. The ceremony is scheduled to run approximately 30 minutes and parking for the event is available downtown with an approximate cost of $6.
