In remembrance: Master Sgt. Daniel Webster

Master Sgt. Daniel Webster, 21st Airlift Squadron first sergeant, passed away Jan. 12 as a result of a heart attack at David Grant USAF Medical Center.

Sergeant Webster was born May 6, 1964 on Ramey Air Force Base, Puerto Rico and joined the Air Force May 20, 1985. He is survived by his wife Valerie, his children Nicholas and Katrina, mother Pat Chaves and brothers Bill and David.

"We will all miss Sergeant Webster dearly," said Lt. Col. Bill Spangenthal, 21st AS commander. "He served our nation with honor, dignity and a loyalty rarely seen. He also served his family as a loving and caring husband, father, brother and son. I will remember Dan as a friend, confidant and quiet professional that loved his job and the people around him."

A viewing is scheduled for Jan. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Nadeau Family Funeral Home at 180 East Monte Vista Avenue in Vacaville. Uniform requirements for 21st AS members are as desired.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for Jan. 17 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Center, followed by a reception from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Chapel Center Annex. Uniform of the day for the 21st AS is service dress.

A military memorial service is scheduled for Jan. 21 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Chapel Center. Uniform of the day for the 21st AS is service dress.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Autism Society of America.
