In Remembrance: Senior Airman Chad Cheswick and Senior Airman Jessica Cheswick Published Jan. 16, 2008 60th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Senior Airman Chad Cheswick, 60th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and Senior Airman Jessica Cheswick, 60th AMXS, both C-5 Galaxy crew chiefs, passed away Jan. 11 in Vacaville, Calif. The cause of death remains under investigation. Airman Chad Cheswick was born August 2, 1985 in Galveston, Texas and joined the Air Force Aug. 5, 2003. He is survived by his father Daryl Cheswick and his mother Lorene Cheswick. Airman Jessica Cheswick was born March 10, 1984 in Homestead, Fla., and joined the Air Force Sept. 21, 2004. She is survived by her father Jerry Smith. "Both Airman Chad Cheswick and Airman Jessica Cheswick were extremely valued members of the 60th AMXS and they will be greatly missed," said Lt. Col. Earl Scott, 60th AMXS commander. "Although way too brief, we were fortunate enough to have them as members of the squadron, group, wing and our Air Force for the time we did. They were both very talented and energetic C-5 aircraft mechanics who loved the company of simply hanging out with their mutual friends." "A lot of nice things can, and should, be said about someone that has passed, but the one thing that's clearly evident is the fact that Chad and Jessica truly touched the lives of many Team Travis members," Colonel Scott added. "They were a social, fun-loving couple who brightened a room when they entered. They were a rare breed of true patriots to this country who elected to serve in our military after the unbelievably tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001. This serves as testament to their character, that after witnessing the events of that infamous day, they still eagerly volunteered to join our Armed Forces." A memorial service for Airman Chad Cheswick and Airman Jessica Cheswick is scheduled for Jan. 25 at 10 a.m., Chapel One.
