CIF uses cutting edge science to increase mission safety
Maj. Eric Olsen, 60th Medical Support, works on creating DNA biosensors which can detect food-born pathogens such as salmonella. The process, known as real-time PCR, taxes approximately three hours to complete and is being performed in the field.
