New information kiosks will bring customers closer to Finance while running their errands.

The kiosks allow people to check on Leave and Earning Statements and access a virtual Military Personnel Flight.

“It works like an online finance office,” said 1st Lt. Geary Graham, chief financial service, 60th Comptroller Squadron.

The kiosks, which went live Wednesday, look like ATM machine and are located in the PAX terminal, the Sierra Inn and the Base Exchange.

“A touch screen computer takes the burden off folks to come all the way to finance to handle these simple transactions,” Lieutenant Graham said. “It will also allow people to print documents.”

The kiosks also provide information via web links on personnel matters, health and wellness forms, travel vouchers, housing and lodging, family support, household goods and the Thrift Savings Plan. People can print local area maps and access information about Travis services.

“Any type of information you want is in here,” said Maryanne Torrence, regional sales representative for the company in charge of producing the kiosks.

Active Duty, retirees and civilians will be able to access the information.

“Now when someone wants to go to finance, they can perform those functions online at locations where members can go without taking up too much time, say if they want to go over lunch,” Lieutenant Graham said.
