The Travis Air Museum is scheduled to receive a C-47 Skytrain Military Transport aircraft Nov. 15 by helicopter from Nut Tree Airport, Vacaville, Calif.

Hosted by the Jimmy Doolittle Museum foundation, media will witness the arrival of the C-47 suspended from a California Air National Guard Chinook helicopter at the Travis flight line. The aircraft will then be towed to its permanent home at the Travis Air Museum.
Media are welcome to come to Travis for a photo opportunity on the flightline as the aircraft arrives. Currently, the scheduled meeting time for media is set for 10 a.m. at the Visitor's Center parking lot outside the Main Gate, however we will confirm that time through another release this afternoon. Media should call 707-424-2011 or email Lindsey.hahn@travis.af.mil.
Media interested in covering the airlift taking off at Nut Tree airport should call Ms. Denell Burks at 707-446-9215 or email her at DB1776-vacaville@comcast.net.
