Active-duty Airman found dead off-base

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – An active-duty Airman from Travis Air Force Base was pronounced dead at their off-base residence June 30, 2020, in Vacaville.
The name of the deceased is being withheld until 24 hours following next-of-kin notification.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic news within our Travis Air Force Base family,” said Col. Jeffrey Nelson, 60th Air Mobility Wing commander. “I want to extend our sincerest sympathies to those affected by this loss. Team Travis is in close coordination with the various organizations surrounding this situation as we establish further insight. As a matter of policy, we will not release specific information due to the ongoing investigation. I ask that we all please respect the family's privacy in this difficult time.”
The cause of the death is currently under investigation.
