"As many of you know, this is our third time being assigned here, so it feels like we're coming home," Scott said. "It's great to see so many familiar faces and we're looking forward to reconnecting with so many of you again."

Scott assumed command from Col. Mark Weber, former 60th MXG commander who retired June 1.

Col. Joel Jackson, 60th Air Mobility Wing, commander, who officiated the ceremony, voiced his confidence in the new commander, lauding his previous accomplishments.

"I am confident that the energy required to overcome the challenges of command will be returned with an even greater level of satisfaction for you and your family," Jackson said. "I look forward to seeing the 60th Maintenance Group flourish under your leadership."

As the 60th MXG commander, Scott is responsible for the management of four aircraft maintenance squadrons and an Aerial Port Squadron. Scott is the logistics subject matter expert on all aircraft maintenance and aerial port support issues for the air mobility wing.

"It's an honor to lead America's daughters and sons, it's an honor to be a servant leader, it's an honor to be a trusted agent in the world's best military and I believe it's an honor to serve each and every one of you," Scott said.
