Col. Steve Arquiette and I couldn't be prouder! As most of you know, Team Travis was selected as one of three AMC finalists for the Commander in Chief Installation Excellence Award. Next Tuesday through Thursday, we will host an AMC evaluation team, who will see first-hand just why Team Travis is "America's First Choice."

The 60th Air Mobility Wing has a lot to brag about: "Best of the Best" - 17 trophies at Rodeo, an Operational Readiness Inspection "Outstanding," a top-notch 60th Anniversary Ball which featured Jay Leno, and most of all, this team of more than 25,000 outstanding Airmen and family members.

Our hat's off to our Installation Excellence Award team, led by Lt. Col. Mark Luttschwager, 1st Lt. Meghann Fletcher, Capt. John Flynn, Capt. James Kerley and Capt. George Carter. Your efforts, along with our Reserve, 15th Expeditionary Mobility Task Force, and 615th Contingency Response Wing partners guarantee success!!!

Team Travis welcomes the evaluation team: Col. Nick Desport, Mr. William Uhde, Col. John Rutkowski, Col. Rick Cornelio and Col. William Durall. We appreciate your time and look forward to showcasing Team Travis where, "There Are No Bounds." We know you will have a very productive visit!

This past week, we were lucky to host the 18th Air Force commander, Maj. Gen. James Hawkins and command chief, Chief Master Sgt. Brye McMillon, on their way to the Pacific. Thank you to Capt. Daryl Myers, 1st Lt. Jose Sanchez, Capt. Kit Conn, Staff Sgt. Steven Fordyce and Airman 1st Class Kevin Calloway from the 21st Airlift Squadron for taking great care of our 18th Air Force commander and command chief during this trip.

Finally, Team Travis showed their excellence once again as the 615th CRW wrapped up their first ORI. Congratulations on your "Excellent" rating. We are very lucky to have you as a partner of this outstanding team!
