NEWS RELEASE: Travis Airman killed in motor vehicle accident Published Aug. 4, 2017 60 Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- An Airman assigned to Travis Air Force Base was killed in a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 680 near Benicia, Calif. at 6:04 a.m. this morning. The name of the Airman is being withheld until 24-hours after next-of-kin notifications. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol – Contra Costa.
