Travis' golf course will glow when it hosts its first "Spooktacular Night of Golf at Cypress Lakes" event at 6:30pm Oct. 27.

Located only four miles from the North Gate, Cypress Lakes Golf Course will offer nine holes of glow-in-the-dark golf, a kid's event room, hot dogs and burgers, costume contests, beer tasting and more.

Tickets can be purchased at Cypress Lakes Golf Course or Travis Bowl. The tickets are $20 for green fee holders and $25 for others.

"We wanted to try something different and fun," said Jessie Walker, Cypress Lakes Golf Course director. "The fluorescent greens, golf balls and holes are always a blast! We also wanted to make the event cost effective for all families. For only $20 to $25, you get the opportunity to play golf, eat burgers, and enjoy small samples of beer. For an additional $6, your child or spouse can participate in a putting contest and enjoy the kids' event room. That's a pretty great deal", said Jessie Walker, Cypress Lakes Golf Course director.

Golf enthusiasts and beginners will tee off with the help of glow sticks and power-glow golf balls. All golf carts will be decorated with glow lights and each hole will be easy to spot with its glowing light. Costumes are appropriate for the event and there is a special prize for the kid's and adult's best costume contest.

"The kids' event room will be appropriately decorated for Halloween and will include a prize wheel, great surprises and a kids' snack table," Walker said. "We want all the children to leave with smiles on their faces and prizes in their hands. This event is definitely for kids and adults."
