Moms love brunch and the Delta Breeze Club loves Mom. Poached eggs, crispy bacon and beverages - these are just a few of the items that the DBC is preparing for Travis moms on Mother's Day Sunday.

Celebrating Mother's Day with brunch is not new to Travis. However, this year Chef Jacob Knutte, 60th Force Support Squadron, has created some special items to celebrate the holiday.

Knutte plans to build a brunch of classic cuisines prepared fresh and served with a smile. If that doesn't impress mom, the grand food stations are sure to grab her attention. As mom travels through the brunch buffet, she will surly appreciate the new stations featuring a large variety of seafood, pasta and top quality meat, as well as a full salad bar and petite dessert station.

"The seafood and carving stations are my personal favorites, but the scrumptious dessert station definitely deserves an honorable mention," Knutte said. "I am very excited to work for the Travis families. Preparing exceptional food is my way of giving back to all of our Airmen and their families for the sacrifices they make and the freedom they protect."

Though he has had job roles in education and teaching at the National Culinary School at the Art Institute of California, Knutte is very proud of his new responsibilities at Travis.

When visiting Sunday, all mothers will receive a cold beverage and a beautiful flower. Seating times begin at 11 a.m. and reservations can be made by calling 437-3711. As always, club members receive a discount and can enjoy brunch for $23. The price for non-members is $28, children 6 to 12 years are $8.95 and children under five are free. Show mom how special she is by taking her to Sunday's special brunch that was prepared especially for her.
