The Annual Air Force Assistance Fund will kick off with a breakfast at the Delta Breeze Club Monday with the theme "Commitment to Caring."

The AFAF, the Air Force's official charity, is a six-week campaign that provides funds to the Air Force Aid Society, Air Force Enlisted Village, Air Force Village and the Gen. and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation.

The campaign, which extends Monday through April 22, will target active-duty members and retirees, but welcomes donations from civilian employees, local organizations and contractors.

"The AFAF is an important campaign as it allows Airmen to continue our proud heritage of taking care of our own through our four Air Force charities," said Maj. Jason Holcomb, AFAF campaign coordinator.

Event organizers expect to have 100 percent contact with service members on Travis by March 25 and will host at least one fundraiser per week during the campaign.

Last year, Travis raised $152, 845 for the AFAF. This year's goal is $126,234.
