Hawks take hoops tourney

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE,Calif. --  The Travis Hawks men's basketball team won first place in the varsity basketball tournament at the fitness center Jan. 15 and 16. The Hawks beat the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Fort Irwin and Vandenberg Air Force Base.
 
The Travis Ladyhawks also shined, taking first place in the women's tournament, defeating Vandenberg and the Marine Air Ground Combat Center at Twenty-nine Palms. The Ladyhawks will travel to Twenty-nine Palms Jan. 28 to 31 to compete in the Military League Tournament.
