Chapel to offer new service

Beginning May 2, the Chapel will start a brand new family-friendly contemporary (Protestant) worship service at 10 a.m. at Chapel One, next to the Base Theatre.

This change in time and location is in direct response to a base-wide survey conducted over the past few months. The new service and time will better accommodate the needs of families with small children as well as singles, particularly those in the dorms.

Children's church is being "pumped up" with a new Wee-Joy program; a new look for the "Children's Kingdom" room, and the ability for parents to drop the "wee-ones" off at the door so both they and the children can fully enjoy worship. While this new service is more family-focused, we want the families to know everyone is welcome, and new atmosphere is both friendly and relaxed.

Try out our coffee bar, pastries and fellowship before and after the service. We've also chosen our new slogan, "You belong!" Be on the lookout for our new "You belong!" banners and ads across the base. Protestant Sunday School will be held at 9 a.m. at the Chapel One annex and the Library.

Special note: Starting May 2 the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Catholic Mass will all be held at Chapel Center - next to the Youth Center. Call Chapel One at 424-2651 should you have any questions on these new changes.
