Retiree Appreciation Day-March 27, 28

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Team Travis will honor local retirees with the annual awareness fair March 27, 28 held in several locations throughout the base.

The two-day event, hosted by Team Travis, installation commander here, is designed to both say thanks to the veterans who have served our nation and to make available to them services and programs on the base, said Joe Rowan, director, Retiree Activities Office here.

Participants will be treated to continental breakfast followed by ceremony kick-off March 27. Information booths will be set up at David Grant USAF Medical Center so that as retiree members move about, they can stop and get information on TRICARE, Veterans Affairs benefits, social security, pharmacy and more.

In addition to updated information on the base programs available to retirees, those who attend the event can visit a C-17 static display and enjoy discount rates at places like the base bowling alley, golf course, Base Exchange and other facilities on base.
