Travis Credit Union will invite military families to webcast special holiday messages to their deployed loved ones during "Operation Best Wishes," Dec. 19 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the credit union's Travis branch at 659 Skymaster Drive.

"Operation Best Wishes" is a free event that gives families up to 10 minutes each to record and send special greetings through a mobile webcast studio at the credit union. The deployed loved one can either watch the webcast message live or access the archived recording over and over again from a secured Web site.

"During the holidays, we want to make communicating with your loved ones a little easier and more immediate," said Patsy Van Ouwerkerk, Travis Credit Union's president and chief executive officer. "It is with gratitude that we celebrate the holidays by offering this extraordinary opportunity for all friends and families of those who are serving to send video messages to loved ones throughout the world."

"Sometimes it's the sound of your voice, the smiles on your children's faces and the words that you speak that can bring strength and hope to loved ones and friends who are deployed and far away," said Mrs. Van Ouwerkerk. "Travis Credit Union salutes the United States Armed Forces men and women who serve our country with honor and distinction and greatly appreciates the many sacrifices their families make."

Families interested in taking advantage of this opportunity are encouraged to sign up and register for a webcast session on Travis Credit Union's Web site www.traviscu.org. Select the recording time that is convenient for your schedule.
