Travis to host Retiree Appreciation Day

The Travis Retiree Activities Office will pay tribute to military retirees and their families on Sept. 6, at the Travis Conference Center. Light refreshments will be available starting at 8 a.m. for attendees. The formal portion of program will begin at 8:30 a.m. with speeches from Team Travis leaders and subject matter experts on topics pertaining to the retiree community.

The keynote speaker for the event is Col. (Ret.) Robert Norton, Deputy Director for Legislation, Military Officers of America Association. He will discuss the MOAA Legislative Agenda is pursuing on behalf of retirees and their families. Following the speakers, lunch will be provided to participating retirees and their families. Information booths will open at 1 p.m. in the TCC Star Lifter Room to provide details and answer questions regarding Space A travel, survivor benefits, National Association for Uniformed Services, and Air Force Sergeants Association to name a few. Additionally, medical screenings will be available. The event concludes at 3:30 p.m.
