With the increased emphasis on leveraging technology, the Air Force Personnel Center has transitioned to a virtual promotion release. Over the past year there was concern with ensuring all enlisted Airmen are notified of their promotion selection in a timely manner. In order to facilitate this change the virtual promotion release application was developed.

The application was developed by the Air Force and is located behind the AFPC Secure Site and the Air Force Portal. The original intent of the application was to assist commanders at all levels and MPF/MPE leadership with the ability to retrieve promotion list and to congratulate selectees.

During the recent technical and master sergeant selections more than 70,000 users logged on the AFPC Secure Site and the Air Force Portal attempting to access the virtual promotion release application during the first minute of the release. This large number caused a delay and slow response time in accessing the secure site via the above listed sites.

As a reminder, individual Airmen should be advised to review the name/AFSC listing that will be posted on the spotlight on the AFPC homepage, http://ask.afpc.randolph.af.mil/; Enlisted Promotions Splash Page, http://ask.afpc.randolph.af.mil/EProm/default.asp?prods3=5&prods2=2&prods1=1; Air Force Portal, https://www.my.af.mil and the AFPC Public Web Site http://www.afpc.randolph.af.mil.

The Air Force Portal Login page will have access to the promotions list prior to logging into the Air Force Portal secure Web site. This enhancement will reduce delays to accessing the promotion list.

The virtual promotion release application (Eprom Tab at AFPC Secure Site) secure https://w20.afpc.randolph.af.mil/AFPCSecureNet20 will ensure MAJCOMs, commanders and others can sort the worldwide listing to determine their specific selectees.

Additionally, the senior rater identification drop down menu has been added to further assist commanders with retrieving their selectees.

NOTE: A common access card is required. There are no additional access restrictions for active duty Air Force and Air Force civilians.

Lastly, on Aug. 20 at 1 p.m., individual score notices will be posted. Airmen can retrieve their score notices via the vMPF at https://w20.afpc.randolph.af.mil/AFPCSecureNet20
or on the Air Force Portal https://www.my.af.mil.
