Goals: "To provide compassionate and caring dental treatment for all military personnel." Greatest achievement: "Winning first place at the 1998 International Synchronized Figure Skating Championships." "Captain Klein is a stellar officer and has made significant contributions to her flight, the 60th Dental Squadron and the 60th Air Mobility Wing," said Col. Patrick Mattie, 60th DS commander. "As a Staff General Dentist, she has treated hundreds of dental patients ensuring that the Travis population is ready to take the bite to the fight in our global mobility mission. She is truly a model Wingman, not only to Air Force personnel, but to all sister services. Doctor Klein's recent noteworthy success is when she was treating a recently deployed Marine. When he came in, she noticed that something was wrong other than the dental condition that he presented. She recognized that he had significant psychological injuries from his recent deployment that required immediate medical attention. She personally ensured that the Marine was referred for appropriate treatment to deal with the post-traumatic stress disorder. He received the counseling and is on the track to recovery. Not stopping there, she is a highly productive dentist. Her monthly totals have exceeded $50,000 in dental workload, treating more than 120 patients and performing 600 dental procedures. She is truly an asset to this squadron, Team Travis and the Air Force."
