Carter as the 60th Air Mobility Wing Warrior of the Week," said Major Paul Brown, 860th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron commander. "Sergeant Carter demonstrates our core values daily as a seasoned C-17 crew chief. On a recent overseas mission, he notified the crew of support equipment that was spilling fuel onto the cargo floor. The crew declared an emergency and landed. Once on the ground, Sergeant Carter worked quickly with limited resources to clean the entire cargo floor that was saturated by JP-8. His quick response enabled the aircraft to be mission ready in three hours, leaving little evidence of hazardous fuel or vapors. This was just one of many times he's ensured mission success for C-17s supporting Travis' Global Mobility Mission."
