Starting Thursday and continuing through the month of August, Air Mobility Command members and their family members are encouraged to see how they match up.

“MatchUp is AMC’s summertime program wherein participants can win big prizes for just participating in various activities at their base,” said Col. Benjamin Trotter, AMC Services Operations Division chief. “Last year we kicked off MatchUP after six highly successful years of ATWIND [Around the World in Ninety Days].”

“The response throughout the command was overwhelming and participants truly enjoyed playing this concentration-style game. This summer, we look to build upon that excitement,” said Colonel Trotter.

Prizes, prizes and more prizes. This year’s program will award more than 10,800 prizes in only 90 days. Top prizes will be big bucks with a grand prize of $10,000 cash. Additional top prizes include $7,500, $5,000 and $2,500, respectively, for second through fourth place.

MatchUp also offers more interactive play and more guaranteed prizes for each AMC installation. Each week participants can compete for a guaranteed weekly $100 cash prize at their base — 12 $100 cash winners at each AMC installation.

In addition, several AMC Guard/Reserve units are joining in on the fun and will also have a guaranteed weekly $100 cash winner.
Each base will also have a guaranteed $1,000 cash and $500 cash winner at the conclusion of the program.

New this year is the addition of Services coupons which can be won as an instant prize when registering a game piece online at www.amcmatchup.com or inside select game pieces.

Online coupons will give the recipient their choice of six options to redeem at various Services facilities.

Also, in order make instant prizes actually ‘instant,’ all $5 Services gift certificates Instawins will be awarded and printable directly from the MatchUp Web site.

Based on the old TV game, “Concentration,” MatchUp is a Web-based program in which participants attempt to match up various symbols in the fewest number of turns and in the fastest time.

“We look forward to providing three months of fun and great prizes to the men and women of AMC. At the same time, hopefully introduce them to the world of Services,” said Mr. Scott Black, AMC marketing manager.

MatchUp is an inter-active Web-based program designed to help increase awareness and participation in Air Force programs, services and activities.

Players receive game pieces for participating in MatchUp designated events. Each game piece is worth an entry into the grand prize drawings and is also their ticket to try their luck playing MatchUp.

Players register their game pieces on-line at www.amcmatchup.com or use the toll-free MatchUp hotline at 1-888-597-9960.

MatchUp will also feature a $100,000 base race cash incentive program. Travis members’ participation in MatchUp can help the base win thousands of dollars toward improving the quality of life here.

Each AMC installation will offer a variety of programs, activities and services wherein participants can earn/receive MatchUp game pieces.
