Air Mobility Command is scheduled to begin the Logistic Standardization and Evaluation Program here Monday.

Headquarters AMC Logistics Directorate will have 54 representatives from bases around AMC coming to asses Travis’ ability to perform logistics functions per the applicable instructions. The representatives are considered “experts” within the areas being evaluated.

“This is our opportunity to show AMC leadership that Travis logistics is always performed safely, accurately and by the book,” said Capt. Jeremy Harmon, 60th AMW Quality Assurance chief and LSEP POC. “This LSEP will be the largest logistics event for Travis in 2006.”

The evaluation team will take a look at operations within maintenance, aerial port, supply and transportation.

A lot of work goes into the preparation for such a large event. The groups involved have spent a lot of time ensuring everything is inspection ready through several self-inspections.

“All logistics organizations here at Travis have spent the last two months preparing and practicing for our big week,” said Captain Harmon.

“Our next 18 months will be determined by the results of this event,” he added.

The LSEP comes to Travis every 18 months.
