Holly Petraeus and California Attorney General Harris to have media availability during a visit with Airmen at Travis Air Force Base Published May 14, 2012 By 010512 TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Holly Petraeus, Director of the Office of Service Member Affairs at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and California Attorney General Kamala Harris will be available to the media at 10:15 a.m. Friday, May 18, at Travis Air Force Base to discuss the results of their base visit. During the visit, Petraeus and Harris will discuss the financial challenges that Airmen and their families face and a wide-range of issues focused on personal financial fitness and predatory business practices aimed at military families. The focus of the visit will be to inform military members and their families of the role of the CFPB in providing the education they need to make sound financial decisions, ensuring that their complaints and questions are monitored and responded to, and working with other federal and state agencies to improve consumer protection measures.
