DGMC to receive Resolution 122 Published Feb. 27, 2007 By 020207 TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The David Grant USAF Medical Center is scheduled to receive Concurrent Resolution 122 from State Senator Jeff Denham Thursday. The event will be held at the DGMC from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with opening remarks from Col. Steve Arquiette, 60th Air Mobility Wing commander and Col. (Dr.) Lee Payne, 60th Medical Group commander and will include comments from Senator Denham and a tour of the medical facility. The DGMC is the second largest medical center in the Air Force. They provide comprehensive community and referral health care, readiness, education, research, teleradiology services, aeromedical staging and Department of Defense Veteran's Administration Joint Venture. Annually DGMC supports over 308,000 outpatient visits, 5,100 admissions, 40,500 dental visits, and 116 research protocols with 124 residents, a 2,142 person staff, and a budget of $222 million. The presentation will be attended by local community leaders to include county supervisors, congressional representatives and local mayors. Resolution 122 recognizes the DGMC for its 53 years as an outstanding medical treatment facility utilized by residents in Northern California and for treating thousands of military members from all services, retirees and families.
