Two minutes can make a difference Published Oct. 18, 2007 By Col. GI Tuck 60th Air Mobility Wing acting commander TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- First and foremost, we would like to extend big congratulations to the 615th Contingency Response Wing as they completed their first-ever operational readiness inspection. Your dedicated attitudes, many practice exercises and outstanding performers assigned to this important mission paid off, and your success was accomplished purely from your hard work. We're proud to be your teammates! Also, I'm echoing Col. Anthony Hinen, 615th CRW commander, in saying thank you to Nate Middleton and many others in the 60th Air Mobility Wing who helped our partners get out the door. Although the 60th AMW has the aircraft, the 615th CRW brings its "boutique" of capabilities to the warfighter. "Team Travis" is not just a phrase, but a mindset. Great job to everyone involved! Our team works together in many different endeavors and we depend on each other to accomplish our mission. But we also help our community in many ways. One of the biggest ways is through our contributions raised during the Combined Federal Campaign. Many of you have donated a part of your paycheck annually to the more than 1,700 foundations the CFC encompasses. For some, this may be your first year, and I hope you will consider participating in this great program. Team Travis is home to five charities that directly affect our people and our mission. Money you donate to these organizations stays right here! They are: -- Travis Child Development (58340) -- Travis Fisher House (44461) -- Travis Teddy's Child Watch (59771) -- Travis USO (55477) -- Travis Youth Activity (26442) This year's CFC theme, "2 Minutes to Make a Difference," highlights the fact that in a small of amount of time, you can make a lasting impact to someone's life. Thank you Maj. Jim Yao, Capt. Drew Patrick, Capt. Jason Reid and your robust CFC team for running this year's campaign and thank you all Team Travis Airmen for helping put Team Travis' best foot forward every single day!
