Travis hosts Midair Collision Avoidance Safety Seminar

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – Local aviation community members attended the Midair Collision Avoidance Safety Seminar at Travis Air Force Base, California, Aug. 18. 

The event, which was hosted by the 60th Air Mobility Wing Safety Office, was held in an effort to raise awareness about the Travis mission and promote best safety aerial practices in and around the airspace surrounding Travis.

Attendees met with Travis leadership, toured a C-5M Super Galaxy and a C-17 Globemaster III, as well as the control tower, fire station and radar approach control system.
