The Justice Files Published March 8, 2019 60th Air Mobility Wing Legal Office TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- During the month of February 2019, three Airmen received final review of nonjudicial punishment under Article 15, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) and four Airmen were involuntarily separated. The following are tools used by commanders as a means of punishment, rehabilitation, and maintaining unit good order and discipline. NONJUDICIAL PUNISHMENT (ARTICLE 15s) 60th Civil Engineering Squadron A Senior Airman received an Article 15 for two specifications of Dereliction; willful and Fail to obey other lawful order, both violations of Aritcle 92, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of reduction to the grade of Airman First Class and a reprimand. 60th Surgical Operations Squadron An Airman First Class received an Article 15 for one specification of Fail to obey; general order or regulation, a violation of Article 92, UCMJ, and one specification of Other Offenses under Article 134, a violation of Article 134, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of reduction to the grade of Airman Basic and a reprimand. 921st Contingency response Squadron An Airman First Class received an Article 15 for two specifications of Debt; Fail to pay and Worthless check; making/uttering – failing to maintain funds, both violations of Article 134, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of reduction to the grade of Airman Basic, suspended for 3 months and a reprimand. ADMINISTRATIVE SEPARATION ACTIONS 6th Air Refueling Squadron A Staff Sergeant was administratively discharged for Drug Abuse with an under honorable conditions (general) service characterization. 60th Diagnostics and Therapeutics Squadron An Airman First Class was administratively discharged for Failure in Alcohol Abuse Treatment with an under honorable conditions (general) service characterization. 60th Medical Support Squadron An Airman First Class was administratively discharged for Failure to progress in military training required to be qualified for service with the Air Force or for performance of primary duties with an honorable service characterization. 821st Contingency Response Support Squadron An Airman First Class was administratively discharged for Minor Disciplinary Infractions with an under honorable conditions (general) service characterization.
