David Grant USAF Medical Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the DGMC modernization project, April 28, 2021 at Travis Air Force Base, California.

This is the first Travis AFB project executed under the Defense Health Agency Facilities Enterprise construct addressing patient safety, growing costs, duplication of services and aging infrastructure concerns.

The project was completed on schedule with an execution time of 985 days.

Improvements throughout DGMC include two state-of-the-art Linear accelerators, providing lifesaving cancer treatment, new facilities for Pediatrics, Brace shop, Radiation Oncology and Hematology Oncology after over 30 years in their existing locations. DGMC has a new Pain Clinic, and new fixtures and furnishings have been implemented to enhance the patient experience.
