TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – The Exceptional Family Member Program Special Needs Taskforce hosted a holiday event at the Contingency Response Support Squadron warehouse Dec. 4. 2021, for EFMP families at Travis Air Force Base, California.

The warehouse displayed Christmas-themed decorations and the event included a visit and gifts from Santa Claus, arts and crafts, music and a holiday movie.

Kristine Gunther, EFMP president of SNTF and program volunteer, said that hosting the event was important because it helps build comradery, and assists families by providing a place where they can relax, be themselves and have a good time.

The Special Needs Taskforce supports EFMP by coordinating events through the help of volunteers.

“Through donations, we were able to give out prizes, cupcakes and presents to every child that came,” said Gunther. “It was really great to see so many families show up and have a really good experience.”
