60th LRS delivers excellence, earns six logistics awards Published Sept. 10, 2026 By Airman 1st Class Ashley Rowell 60th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The 60th Logistics Readiness Squadron earned six 2025 Director of Logistics Annual Awards, recognizing Travis Air Force Base, California Airmen and teams at the Air Mobility Command and Headquarters Air Force levels. The awards span multiple areas of the logistics mission, including vehicle management, ground transportation, plans and integration and materiel management. U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Kyle Branham, 60th LRS vehicle management superintendent, earned the Headquarters Air Force-level Vehicle Management Chief Master Sgt. Tim Stern Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year Award. “Winning this award is a true testament to what the Airmen of the Travis Vehicle Management team bring to the fight,” Branham said. “I am incredibly proud to serve alongside a team that lives by our creed — discipline, execute, do your job.” Branham’s individual recognition accompanied an AMC-level win for the 60th LRS vehicle management team. The team maintains a fleet of 721 vehicles supporting the Travis mission and global contingency operations. The squadron’s Installation Deployment Readiness Cell also earned AMC’s Plans and Integration Team of the Year Award after managing a significant surge in deployment operations. “With a team of just 20 members, we compressed 91% of the wing’s annual taskings into a grueling three-week window,” said Capt. Alexa Poveromo, 60th LRS installation deployment officer. “We are a small team, but we carry a massive scope of responsibility that directly enables global rapid reach.” Additionally, the 60th LRS Ground Transportation Element was named AMC’s Ground Transportation Wheeled Warriors Team of the Year. "Being named team of the year validates the quiet, heavy lifting our team does behind the scenes," said Master Sgt. Jessica Arlyn Mitchum, 60th LRS ground transportation section chief. "Whether expediting aircrew or executing cargo drops, our daily hustle directly translates to the wing's ability to project power. We own the ground so the wing can own the skies." Rounding out the AMC-level honors, the 60th LRS earned the Daedalian Maj. Gen. Warren R. Carter Logistics Effectiveness Award, and Senior Airman Victoria May Littlejohn was named the 2S Airman of the Year. Senior Master Sgt. Diego Veliz, 60th Logistics Readiness Squadron deployment and distribution flight superintendent, said the six awards reflect the collective efforts of Airmen and civilians across the squadron. “Attaining recognition at this level is never the result of a single, individual action,” Veliz said. “Instead, it’s the accumulation of every team member’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence, mutual support and a shared sense of purpose.”
