Red Cross receives new station manager Published Dec. 12, 2014 By Jim Spellman 60th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The American Red Cross has a new 'sheriff' in town at David Grant USAF Medical Center. The ARC has named Lisa Ann Rohr incoming successor to outgoing station manager Joan Kelley-Williams, who stepped down from her position Dec. 5 after 30 years of service to the Red Cross. Rohr serves as the ARC's Service to the Armed Forces regional program support for military families for the Northern California coastal region. A member of the ARC since 2005 when she began as a volunteer for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Rohr has interchangeably skilled herself as either paid staff, volunteer or peer partner in ARC national disaster response logistics and mass casualty care, long-term hurricane recovery community outreach, Service to the Armed Forces, community preparedness outreach and license provider instructor in health and safety. As a SAF regional program support and military family caseworker, Rohr's focus is on supporting a seven-chapter network of volunteer SAF family follow-up case workers and quality assurance survey processes from Monterey to Solano counties. Rohr's office presence as ARC station manager at DGMC will support programs to meet the goals and objectives in the delivery of Red Cross services to members of the United States military and their families assigned to the installation and the larger community. From regional program support or implementing new initiatives, she will continue to increase the visibility of Red Cross SAF programs and services throughout the region's jurisdiction with a major focus at Travis Air Force Base. From virtually anywhere, Lisa Ann will conduct SAF volunteer outreach and instruction, identify gaps in volunteer cadres and implement recruitment, screening and placement strategies to engage more volunteers and youth, particularly from military families.
