Military Justice Report Published April 23, 2014 60th Judge Advocate TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- A staff sergeant from the 60th Medical Operations Squadron received an Article 15 for falsifying military orders to terminate a lease. The punishment consisted of a reduction to senior airman and a reprimand. A staff sergeant from the 570th Global Mobility Squadron received an Article 15 for distributing pornography using a cell phone. The punishment consisted of a reduction to senior airman, forfeitures of $1,213 pay per month for one month and a reprimand. An airman first class from the 60th Medical Surgical Operations Squadron received an Article 15 for failure to obey a lawful order. The punishment consisted of reduction to airman,45 days of extra duty and a reprimand. An airman first class from the 60th Communications Squadron received an Article 15 for destroying or damaging nonmilitary property of $500 or less and assault consummated by battery. The punishment consisted of forfeiture of $400 pay per month for two months (one month suspended), 20 days of extra duty and a reprimand. A senior airman from the 60th Medical Diagnostics and Therapeutics Squadron received an Article 15 for cruelty and maltreatment. The punishment consisted of a reduction to airman 1st class and a reprimand. A senior airman from the 60th MDOS received an Article 15 for wrongful use of I, II or III controlled substance. The punishment consisted of suspended reduction to airman 1st class, forfeiture of $1,017 pay per month for one month and a reprimand. A senior airman from the 60th Medical Support Squadron received an Article 15 for being absent without leave. The punishment consisted of suspended reduction to airman 1st class, forfeiture of $508 pay per month for two months and a reprimand. A senior airman from the 60th Maintenance Squadron was court-martialed for possessing digital images of child pornography. The approved sentence consisted of a reduction to airman basic, 18 months confinement, forfeiture of all pay and allowances and a bad-conduct discharge. An airman first class from the 60th Logistics Readiness Squadron was administratively discharged for mental disorder: adjustment disorder. The airman 1st class was separated under honorable conditions discharge. An airman first class from the 60th Diagnostics and Therapeutics Squadron was administratively discharged for pattern of misconduct, specifically conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline. The airman 1st class was separated under honorable conditions (general) discharge. An airman first class from the 9th Air Refueling Squadron was administratively discharged for minor disciplinary infractions. The airman 1st class was separated under honorable conditions (general) discharge.
