Capt. Veronica Hoskinson, 60th Force Support Squadron manpower and personnel flight commander, and Senior Master Sgt. Maryann Navarro-Davis, 60th FSS military personnel section superintendent, spoke and answered questions about the upcoming enlisted force reduction programs during a town hall meeting Tuesday at the base theater.

"Currently, there are approximately 2,300 members at Travis affected by the enlisted force reduction program," Hoskinson said.

The highlights of the meeting were focused on each force management program voluntary and involuntary, key timelines and preparation recommendations.

Both Lt. Col. Joseph Schneider, 60th FSS commander and Hoskinson recommend members to review their options and ensure their records are updated and utilize their command support section for additional support.

The meeting only covered the enlisted programs. FSS recommends for anyone who supervises enlisted personnel, command support section personnel and family members to stay up-to-date with the 2014 force management programs and guidance via Travis sharepoint or MyPers to facilitate career impacting decisions members will face.

"As things progress between today and when the enlisted retention recommendation forms are sent to the board, individual units are going to establish timelines," Hoskinson said. "It is very important for members to communicate with their leadership on what those timelines are, so commanders have adequate time to write the ERRF."

The enlisted retention recommendation form is projected to be released later this month.

Hoskinson said while the current town halls focus on the enlisted force, the officer guidance is still under review. More information on officer town halls will be released when it becomes available.
