News media representatives are invited to attend the upcoming Pilot for a Day event Jan. 31 here.

The event was coordinated by the Make-A-Wish foundation and will give Aniello Joshua Calisi the opportunity to don a custom flight suit and dog tags before taking a day-long tour around Travis. During his tour, he will ride in a fire truck, go to the control tower, have lunch with the base commander, visit an aircraft and ride in a C-17 Globemaster III simulator.

AJ was diagnosed with Leukemia in February 2010 and has always wanted to be a secret service agent, police officer or service member of any kind. He will be treated like a pilot for the day and escorted by special "agents" while on base.

News media representatives in attendance will get to interview and take pictures and video of AJ, his family, base leadership and personnel during his whirlwind day on Travis.

News media representatives interested in more information about the event can call Staff Sgt. Patrick Harrower or Senior Airman Charles Rivezzo, 60th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs at (707) 424-2011 or email at patrick.harrower@us.af.mil, charles.rivezzo@us.af.mil, no later than noon Jan. 30.
