Phoenix Spark innovates fleet-wide C-17 EFB mount
U.S. Air Force Gen. Carlton D. Everhart II, Air Mobility Command commander, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., tests a newly developed mounted electronic flight bag holder inside the flight deck of a C-17 Globemaster III at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., August 12, 2017. Under the auspice of Phoenix Spark, the 60th OG is working with the 60th Maintenance Group to design and approve the mount for all three aircraft assigned to the 60th Air Mobility Wing. This was the first time aircrew employed the EFB mount, which utilizes the old approach plate holder. Phoenix Spark is a program chartered by Everhart and empowers Airmen of all levels to innovate rapidly while navigating the administrative hurdles of compliance.
